One fateful day, during a profound conversation with Mishel Newall after an ikebana class, the idea of establishing a Kimono Club in Odesa emerged effortlessly and spontaneously. From that moment onward, everything seemed to twirl like sakura petals, fluttering from blooming branches, instilling a sense of wonder and beauty in the air.

The concept was simple yet extraordinary—gather together once every season, offering a rare opportunity for those intrigued by the enchanting world of kimono attire. We aimed to provide an authentic experience, following all the traditional rules, and, of course, capturing the essence of each moment through a captivating garden photoshoot.

Each gathering held its own enchantment. People from distant cities journeyed to Odesa, television crews documented the events. However, the true essence lay in the profound impact experienced by all participants—a deeply personal connection unearthed from the depths of their souls.

The events I meticulously organized always attracted fascinating individuals seeking something more. I derive immense pleasure from creating intimate moments that transcend the ordinary, where miracles occur, and sparks of transformation ignite. It is a magical turning point, often demarcating a clear distinction between the “before” and the “after.”

This time, the Kimono Club Spring 2023 rendezvous unfolded in Kyoto, setting the stage for a global phenomenon.

The upcoming Summer 2023 meeting will take place in Edinburgh, Scotland—an alluring and inspiring prospect. Yet, as always, numerous organizational actions lie ahead to manifest this vision into reality.
